Holiday in Kuantan

We took a 3 day 2 night vacation to Kuantan and also to visit my grandmother and cousin brother and family who is back from Sydney. So these are the picts......yes, our little angel has taken over our life...all the picts are about him - him taking bath, him at the beach, him chilling out on the bed, him drinking milo...you get the idea....sigh.
And when we arrive back home, the car boot was also filled with new stuff ...all for him. Cant believe it but we managed to get a table and chair for RM40 (compared to Ikea of which the table alone cost RM129...)...of course, you get what you pay for. When we open the package, we found one of the leg was a tad short - solution = put some paper underneath the foot. Will show picts of the table, chair and other toys another day.
I believe that it is good to start him on the habit to read and do his activities on the table from young. Also bought a small laundry basket for him to start putting his own clothes into the basket. Read that from an article in the Star on last Thursday to start training the little one to be a helper from young. Hub is already thinking...can get him to fetch the papers, buy the nasi lemak in the morning...etc..etc..."slap head"!

Hyatt Hotel in Kuantan

I got to say that Hyatt Hotel in Kuantan is beautiful. I really love it for a short vacation as ever since the new highway has opened, it only takes about 3 hours from door to door to reach Kuantan. Of course, you need to pay for toll which came up to approx RM25 if I am not mistaken. But it is an easy ride, not much traffic and Kuantan is not as crowded as compared to places like Penang and Melaka.

We were lucky that we got seaview for our room. It is just so relaxing to just sit outside on the balcony and watch the day go by.

But the only downside is that Hyatt is looking a bit tired and ready for some refurbishment.

Do go around months like these as the raining season hits end of the year until somewhere beginnning of the year.

Playschool at Bandar Utama

Friend asked me what does Ben usually do at playschool. Well here are some picts...a little bit of something...but I have to warn you that his attention span is really short. So even though these picts seemed to look pretty good - writing, drawing, puzzles, etc....but most of the time, it only holds him for one minute or so. Then he is off running around the house.
On the way back, asked him did he enjoy himself...he gave me a smile...! He He...ok, I cheated. I told him to smile for the camera.
A few minutes later, he is off to Z-Z land.

Fast Asleep

The other day as I was blogging, my son woke up and came to look for me. After I put him on my shoulders, he fell asleep again! As my shoulder was aching, I lay him down on my dictionary and this was how he looks like! Ha Ha...
And the dictionary was wet with his saliva...Haha....

Why the dictionary? Because it has been quite some time that I did typing without using Microsoft Words which has an auto spell-check.

Floor Cleaner

This is the floor cleaner recommended by a friend in Singapore. It is really good as compared to the others which after that, leaves behind a bit of oily residual which then sticks dust. But not this brand. Of course, this is also more expensive as it is only 2 litres compared with the usual 3 litres. But I guess quality comes with price! This brand can be found anywhere but bear in mind, there are for ceramic tiles and another one for marble.

Toner - Miho Marigold Lotion

I am currently using this toner made in Japan. It is pretty good especially if you look carefully, it is filled with specks of gold. Nowadays, the "in" thing is gold facial which is being offered by many beauty saloons. I have not try it yet as it is pretty expensive...about RM500 for a pop...well, it is gold! And I try to think that this will be just as good. What I like about this toner is that it is quite moisturising, compared to other toners which you cannot really feel the effect. Sometimes if I am lazy, I will just put on this toner and then the sunblock.

Bubble Bath

Hub bought this M&S Foam Bath which really smells nice. I am always complaining what for buy so expensive one...hehe...but now Ben sure do smell nice....and he is enjoying himself as well.

Water Tupperware

Bought a water tupperware for him recently from Robinsons. We had a RM10 voucher and did now know what to do with it. Then I said must buy this as when he goes to playschool he only got cup while the rest is taking their water tumbler. He seemed to enjoy it ..... but I do now know for how long. This is the only way to tipu him to drink water.

Moisturiser

Oh no, son got hold of my moisturiser......

See my little one...following the footsteps of Mummy - taking care of skin from young.
And this is what happens when i snatched the moisturiser bottle away...pengsan!

Soup

Michelle, my ex-colleague is coming over for dinner tonight. Yahoo!....so I have boiled this bittergourd soup for her. Love the keichi (or in English -wolfberries ) and the oysters. Both also bought from Eu Yan Sang shop. I might have cut the bittergourd too small.
Michelle, this is all you are having for dinner!

Bird Nest at my Balcony

Look at this - it looks like just another plant which has overgrown at my balcony, right?

Then hub pulled me to see the outside - ohmigosh...a bird best?? Hub has been insisting that there was a bird nest because we have been hearing a lot of birds chattering away but I insisted - no way. On closer look, the nest looks empty. I cant go anywhere nearer to take a better pict as the nest is actually facing outwards.

Why I am astounded by the bird nest on our puny tree because there are many more trees down there.

Pushing things

This was Ben in Dec 2007 - pushing cans.......

.....and this is Ben today - pushing the CD container.
Conclusion : Old habits die hard.... :) ....Have a good week ahead, everyone!

Ba Zhen Soup

Have been feeling a bit weak the past few months. Friend recommend Bak Zhen soup which seemed to work. The best thing about this is that there is no concerns about heatiness compared to multi-vit, Bak Fong pills, etc and much cheaper. One packet of Eu Yan Sang can be boiled for 3 times as it is supposed to be 3 to 4 servings. The downside - have to boil it.

Thomas, the Train

Bought for Ben a Thomas the train set from Toys R Us. Was feeling bored on Wednesday and dropped by MidValley.

Isnt it funny how your life has changed once you have a baby??? Your life revolves around the baby. When you go shopping, you look at baby stuff, you read baby books and you surf for baby stuff! Ha ha.

The conclusion from the shopping spree was a RM89.90 train set for Ben. It was the cheapest Thomas train set around!

Outing to Padang in Setia Alam

The other day, dropped by the padang in Setia Alam....Ben was so excited that most of the photos we took were blurred. He could not keep still! As you can see, we bundled him up pretty well to protect him from mosquitoes bites, scratches and bruises.

Despite out efforts to cover him up, he came out with rashes the following day! Since it was rather alarming, we went to see his specialist who checked him thoroughly and since he got no temperature, doc said that it was due to allergy. Could it be from the grass at the field? The grass was looking too healthily green and maybe the maintenance people sprayed fertiliser which contains chemical.
Checked with friend who is nature lover and he said it should be fine and advised me to be persistent in bringing him to the padang.
I am happy to report that the rashes went off after a few days.

Expensive Sandwich

The other day went over to Cold Storage at Solaris, Mont Kiara just to jalan-jalan. Bought this sandwich and I think if hub knows about this, he will surely nag me. But it does taste nice and somehow it is just not the same if you were to do it yourself. Actually it does look very simple. As you can see the bread looks like normal wholemeal bread from Gardenia and the rest, tuna, etc...etc...all for RM7.49...HaHa....
