4th day in Auckland
Unfortunately I am not too sure how to go about doing the posting so i think the days of the posting has gone a bit haywire. 4th day will come out way up here. The rest of the days are down there unfortunately, so please do scroll down to read the rest of the days.
On this day, brother and sister in law had to run errants. So we were on our own. After looking through the Lonely Planet, the most logical place to go will be Davenport as we did not have transport. So the only thing we could do is use the ferry which was just outside our hotel.
Once we were there, we were advised to climb Mount Victoria. It took us only half an hour but it was pretty steep. You can see us working our way up to the hill. But it was well worth the climb as we were rewarded with nice scenaries. Auckland consist of many volcanoes but it seemed that Mount Victoria is the highest.
That night, brother took us for Peking duck...yummy. It is quite unique here as they kept the skin and part of the meat together. And the rest of the parts of the duck they used to cook other dishes and as you can see from the picture - even its legs!
