Love to go to this restaurant even though there is one available in Kuala Lumpur. I was pretty thankful that this place had plastic bowl and spoon and fork for Ben. (similar to Dragon-i and Canton-i in Malaysia). Now, this is what I call service! And also another thing was that they serve soft peanut as snack which Ben really love. That kept him quiet quite a bit. Unfortunately I did not take photos of our food but I can say that it was yummy.
Bro, if you remember, uncle Keng Too brought us here and you order the cold chicken for us.

Jacob Ballas Children Garden
I saw this place at another mother's blog, Etcetera Mum and went through the trouble looking for it. I was most happy to find it because earlier, I asked my uncle who is a local there but he was not aware of such a place. Can't blame him either as well since he does not have children yet.
The Jacob Ballas Garden is actually part of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and is along Bukit Timah road. The entrance seemed to be the same one to enter NUS University. Entrance is free and all you got to pay for is the parking which is pretty reasonable for $1plus for an hour plus.
There is sand play........

Vivo City
Took a trip down to Singapore just for a break of scenary. We had a wonderful time. These pictures were taken at Vivo City, I think the largest shopping mall in Singapore. It had a children park upstairs which had water segment and as you can see, Ben had a wonderful time getting himself very wet.
I read somewhere that this mall has about 1,000 shops - almost everything you can get there. Unfortunately there was no significant sale (the big Singapore sale is held yearly in June) and our RM is so miserable, there is really virtually nothing you can get there! Everything is so expensive. I think Malaysia could be one of the cheapest place to stay in the whole world!

Chinese New Year celebrations 2009
Cousin sister from Sydney was asking how come no posts for the past few weeks ever since Ben birthday celebration. I guess I have been busy making preparations for CNY with the shopping. And I am also reading up on an education method namely Charlotte Mason ("CM")- more about that later. It is quite interesting. There are so many methods out there Montesori, Waldolf, etc...and now CM.
Anyway the usual stuff for CNY - we went off to Kedah and Ben had a wonderful time. Since we don't have stairs at home, he was running up and down the staircase at in-law house. And also having a good time running around the area outside the house. We have been looking for a landed property but somehow nothing really strike us as good. It was all too far away, too expensive, out of budget, etc.....
Whew, before we know it, CNY is almost over and now we are already in February! Phew!
Beach Again
The funny thing about Ben was at first, he was pretty sticky to me. And when we took him to play sand, he was like going "Shoes, shoes" as if the sand was really disturbing him! He did not like the sand at all as if it was all messing up his legs.
Later once he warmed up, he was running up and down and also playing with some other children who was burying their sister/brother under all the sand.
By the time we want to go home as it was getting cold since the sun already set, Ben did not want to go home. It took quite a bit of strength to carry him back to the car!
We brought back a bucket of sand to play inside his water and sand toy. But once he saw the sand all over his feet, he was trying hard to use the water to clean his feet! So I guess I will need to throw the sand back to the beach one of these days. But I am also happy about this....imagine the mess it will make all over the floor! Phew!
